Thanks for this suggestion, Ian! For now, I think this might be an "external plugin", that is it would have to be built using the REST API, instead of the in-editor plugin system, because this would require third-party services (Whisper, etc.) to make requests _to_ Amplenote.

Please let me know if I'm misinterpreting.
