API: Trigger plugin with a link

It would be nice to be able to trigger a plugin through a link. The link should support parameters that will be passed to the plugin.

Example use case:
For the Calendar plugin it would be nice to be able to output links that update the view (switch month, etc).

Hey Mike, thanks for the request. It would be nice if we could define more precisely how that plugin trigger would work. Eg. how would one define a "linkAction" in the plugin code that would trigger a plugin?
